Cow urine has a special place in Indian medicine science. Even incurable diseases can be cured with cow urine. This is indicated in the Indian scriptures and has also been proved in modern science. The breed, type and maintenance of the cow used for cow urine is most important. The cow giving cow urine should be a Gir or Desi pure Indian breed cow and it is very important that it should be a plant grazer. Cow urine should be collected at the appropriate time and purified according to the scriptures. Such cow urine also increases the potency of the medicine and can yield miraculous results.
Cow urine has been granted US Patents (No. 6,896,907 and 6,410,059) for its medicinal properties, particularly as a bioenhancer and as an antibiotic, antifungal and anticancer agent. With regard to the latter, it has been observed to increase the potency of “Taxol” (paclitaxel) against MCF-7, a human cancer cell line, in in vitro assays (US Patent No. 6,410,059).
